Jonathan Mundell is CEO of In On Africa (IOA), which he co-founded in 2007 and is fast becoming the leading research, consulting and publishing firm in Africa, focused solely on Africa (www.inonafrica.com). Jonathan has been involved in Africa-focused and development research (quantitative and qualitative) and consultancy assignments for more than 15 years, working primarily through IOA and previously with the University of
Pretoria, Yale University and the Medical Research Council (MRC) of South Africa.
Jonathan has been passionate about development in South Africa and Africa more broadly since he was a student, and has purposefully grown IOA in to a development-driven organisation that aims to inform and accelerate growth through quality research and insight. Over the past several years, IOA has worked on a wide range of projects focused on education, youth unemployment, entrepreneurship and the future of work. One such IOA project is Voices Unite, which will be launched in January 2020 to connect thousands of South African youth through a digital platform to better inform corporate, government, NPO and institutional stakeholders on the views and needs of South Africa’s youth.
